Rice:
Well, in shops, they sell only one kind of Japanese Rice in Malaysia and so it isn't difficult to find which packets to buy.
Usually, for 3 and a half cups of sushi rice is for 3 people.
- Firstly, you purchase the packet of rice.
- Make sure you wash the rice for 1-2 minutes.
- Put the rice in the pot. When cooking it, just add a bit more water than the rice.
- You know it's ready when there is no more water in the pot. (bout 6-8 minutes, but I'm not that sure)
- Use a plastic or wooden spoon to stir the rice. Don't scratch out the bottom of the pot or the rice will get destroyed!
- Some people like to put salt and sugar and rice vinegar mixed in with the rice. But in my recipe, I put salt and mostly vinegar. I don't like my rice to be sweetened by a non natural starch sugar.
- Pour the rice vinegar to your liking. If you like it sour, pour more, if not, yes you guessed it, pour less.

This is my fun and easy way of making sushi rolls, etc without a Bamboo sheet.
I mean, you can use the bamboo sheet to make the sushi pretty when rolling it. But in my style, I don't use it.
Anyways, these is some easy ways to make the simplest, crabstick sushi. (MY WAY)
- When you take a piece of seaweed, it's probably a slight smaller than an A4 sized paper.
- Cut that into half, using scissors.
- With the half of the seaweed, cut it into strips. The way you cut the seaweed should be like this..
I I and not I I
I I I I
I I
- The length of the short sides should be about the size of 2cm.
- Use a teaspoon and scoop out rice. Get ready a bowl of water at your side.
- Wet your hands with the water and put the rice in your hands
- Make the rice into a shape of a smooth cornered cuboid.
- Place the seaweed on the board, and place the shaped rice onto the seaweed

- Place a piece of crabstick above the rice and wrap the seaweed around it.
- to stick the seaweed at the ends, I use a bit of the sticky, Japanese Rice.
This is how I do make this Crabstick Sushi.
To make this even simpler than using crabsticks, you can put cucumbers, eggs, EVEN ONLY PUTTING MAYO.
The Mayo I use is called Kewpie.

It is very different than other Mayo. When making sushi, use this mayo. Trust me. My friend loved it so much, he even squirted Mayo on his spoon and ate it. And he did it again and again! What can I say? My friends ARE--LOVE MAYO. :) Especially Kewpie Mayo.
Anyways, hope this recipe works for you guys!
