Part 1 Base Sauce Ingredients:
- 4 lamb legs -Lamb bone (Just slice the meat off, it will be needed later)
- 2 cups of water
- Onions (One white onion)
- Garlic (One stalk and 4 cloves)
- Two big tomatoes
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sugar
Part 2 Fancier Sauce Ingredients:
- Mushrooms
- Chunks of Lamb
- Salt
- Pepper
STEPS:
Olive oil in the pot. Has it sizzled yet?
Chop the Onions roughly and mince the garlic. ALL OF THEM! 3:) (we love our garlic!). Put them all in the pot.
Make use of the sugar and salt so the onions will sweat.
Slice the tomatoes into cubes. Into the pot. And add more salt and LOTS of pepper.
Pour the water.
Put the lamb bone into the pot.
Let the water bubble a bit more and add the minced mushrooms.
Scrape the bottom of the pot REGULARLY. Because the ingredients you added get burnt easily. Trust me, it happened to me.
INSERT THE CHUNKS OF LAMB! :D Salt and pepper!
If the sauce is too watery, there is a way to thicken it up ;)
Put a teaspoon of Corn flour into a saucer, add water into the sauce pan and mix well. Pour the solution into the sauce. Wait for it to boil and it WILL get thicker. :)
Cook at high heat. Cook until you like the texture of the meat and the tenderness of the meat. :)
