A few people are captured and brought to the Tower, including Paige Mahoney that is working in the criminal underworld and the oxygen bar. Paige is a dream walker. The title says it all. She can invade other people's dreams. However, she exceed one's dream and killed a Guard. She is now a criminal.
The Red Capes, also known as the trusted of Narissa (The Evil Dame) chooses one of the few people to work as their slave.
Paige Mahoney is chosen by Narissa's Forced fiancée, Artcurus, also known as the Warden. People say she is lucky. She didn't know why. I mean, she is chosen to be a SLAVE for Narissa's Fiancée! Then she realized the true meaning why she is lucky. The Warden tells her he treats her as his student!
Of course, Paige wants to try to leave this stinking Scion. To do this, she learns more about the history of the people before her, even some of them tried to get out but they all died. She also learnt that there was a War between the Slaves and the Red Capes, sadly the slaves have lost. Could she bring up the courage the make another one but this time, succeed?
Red Capes feed on blood. However, the Warden does it differently to Paige. The Warden's blood is a glowing light, not red. He is different.
During their journey, they saved each others' lives 3 times each...and something has happened! They grew a golden bond.
Every night, she is forced to talk to the Warden for an hour. They learn more about each other and she finds out that He Hates Narissa. He wants to help her to escape, helping to lie, to cover up her tracks.
Oh yeah guys, he kisses Paige. It was pretty Steamy ;) but DAMN, Narissa saw the whole thing and wants to murder Paige Much more. Oh yeah, I forgot to add Narissa is a bender where she can steal other's powers and use them as her own. To do this, she needs to kill them. Once killed, they are known as Guardian Angels where they are destined to protect the person who murdered them. Narissa absolutely wants Paige's rare power and now, you get the story.
Paige reaches the train to leave Scion, she finds out Narissa is still alive. Sadly, the heartbreaking moment is when Artcurus says he is staying in Scion to finish Narissa. Paige says her Goodbyes and goes on the train and left Scion.
This book has the cliff-hanger. I read she is going to publish 6 books! :D But this leaves me to wonder, Will Artcurus be alive in the second book or....-GOSH- I don't even want to think about it! What happens to Paige then?
I finished this book in 9 hours in One day so I might have got a little dazed and forget some parts of the book. but I promise you, this is the major points of that beautiful scripted book. I love Artcurus, don't you? :)
